Nanny's Message to Families

Dear Family, I am very excited about possibly becoming your nanny! Here's a little about me: I'm 22 years old and am currently a nanny in Eastern Pennsylvania. I have been a nanny for 4 great families, all of whom I am still in contact with. I received a BA in Family Consumer Science in May 2009 and plan on pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. I also have a huge interest in wedding design and events coordinating. Both of which I dabble in often. Guess I'll see where that goes! I love to laugh. It is wonderful medicine. I've found that children understand this more than any of the rest of us. Therefore, children are my favorite. And this is what I know: Relationships require trust and communication. Even a relationship with a five year old. Nannying is what you make of it, as is any job. Joy is a lifestyle that doesn't change even when happiness fades in and out. Freedom is something we all gain by relinquishing ourselves to trusting others. I'm grateful for opportunities that come my way to be involved with the joy in others around me. It would be a privilege to be with a family that shares that same prospective.
