| Au Pair job description |
| Taking care of a thirteen-year old girl, collecting her from school at around 4.30 pm. Helping her out with her homeworks (in English as she attends an English school) and taking her to some after-school activities. Being in general an affectionate and stimulating company for her, playing with her and establishing a sister-like relationship with her. Hours of work are approximately from 4.15 pm to 8.30 pm in the afternoons. A couple of evenings of babysitting might be required, as well as the occasional help during some hours of the week-end. Only housework required is related to the child:i.e. some ironing, room-tiding up and occasionally preparing her dinner. Last but not least, my daughter is diabetic and therefore, even though no medical assistance is required, the candidate should be very responsible and willing to help her check her blood sugar levels and take appropriate actions to keep them under control. |
| Family's Message to Au Pairs |
| Dear Au Pair, we are a small and quiet family living in the centre of Rome with a lovely and very sweet twelve-year old daughter, named Ludovica (or, to keep it short(!), Ludy). Unluckily as you will have read above she is diabetic, but she is very responsible and knows how to deal with it and doesn't complain about it. We'd like to find a well-behaved, caring and lively girl to look after her while we are at work and she 's back from school. We'd want you to be a friend and an example for her and therefore to put effort and feelings in your work. Kind regards
Paola & family |
