Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Host Family, My name is Michelle and I’m from Brazil. I’m applying, through this letter, to be your new au pair. I’m 25 years old and I'm now in Mill Valley, CA. I have Portuguese descent, because my father is from Portugal. My father is a business man; he has a company and work with the most known Brazilian’s magazines. My mother works with my father. She takes care of the financial sector of the company. I have two brothers, the oldest is Ilídio, he is 22 and is studying administration. The youngest is Felipe, he is 19 and is studying economy science at college. We all live together in my parents’ house with my two cute dogs: Luna, a Poodle and Marie, an Yorkshire. So, if you have any pet, I do not mind to taking care of it. I like animals. We are very close and always try to do good things together, like go out to dinner, watch movies, make barbecues, stay with friends and travel. I’m postgraduate in visual communication. I studied marketing in the college downtown (UNOPAR). I also studied Theater but I didn’t finish it. I love studding. I wish I can study cinema or visual arts some day (maybe in USA. Who knows?) I study theater since I’m 8 years old. During these years I worked a lot with children. My theater group was a volunteer in a Cancer Hospital. There we did a play to the kids in treatment and it was very rewarding. I was a volunteer in a day care center and I worked with children between 2 and 6 years old. It is an awesome experience. I also use to take care of my little cousins since they was born. They are 4, 6 and 11 years old. We spent all holidays together since they were babies. About English, I studied in my high school and in a private English school. About my free time, I enjoy going to the cinema, walking around with some friends or my dogs, visiting different malls and sometimes I go to comics and animation conventions with friends. Also, I love going to amusement parks. Indoors, I enjoy reading, listening music and cooking something different. You can expect from me trustworthy, responsibility and warmth person when taking care of your children. I really want to do this au pair program. It is a great opportunity to grow up professional and a personally. I am looking forward to improve my English and to learn American culture.
