Au Pair's Message to Families

I'm a 20-year-old girl from Finland who loves to travel and experience new things. An exchange year spent in Goiânia, Brazil (2006-2007) helped me become a mature, independent and confident young woman, with a latin twist of course. ;) I'm very social and get along well with different kinds of people - specially kids! Doing sports is my passion and I love to dance. If you're looking for an au pair who's patient, energetic, outgoing and trustworthy, you've found your perfect match! I love playing with children and teaching them new things (even a language, if you wish so - I speak completely fluent Finnish, English, Swedish and Portuguese plus basic Spanish and French). I enjoy being in a clean, well-organized environment which means that my housekeeping skills are great. I'm very easy-going and fun to be with and that's what I'm looking for in a family too. I also wish to be more like a big sister to your kids rather than just some stranger who takes them to school every morning. That way your children could really learn to trust me and be able to have another loving adult in their life besides their parents. :) I come from a big family and I am therefore used to taking care of all my younger cousins. Looking after infants shouldn't be a problem either, since I have a beautiful godson who is only 15 months old. Right now I'm working as an au pair in Madrid, Spain (looking after two boys aged 4 and 6) and absolutely loving it so another year abroad - this time somewhere north - feels like the right thing to do before heading off to college in Finland!
