Au Pair/Nanny job description

Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. With live-in arrangement we're looking for some flexibility for few extra hours on the weekend or evening. Primary responsibility is before and after school childcare and development of 3 outgoing boys (an 8 year old and 6 year old twins). This includes playing, reading, meals, arts & crafts, homework, bathing, guidance, and of course a good deal of caring and nurturing. Love for children is a must. Secondary tasks include light household chores such as washing dishes, laundry, vacuuming, picking up toys and child possessions.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Nanny, After approximately 4 years with us, our current nanny has taken a maternity leave of her own. For at least the next 6 months (but possibly longer) we are again looking towards a live-in nanny to offer stability in the care provided to our children. Live-out options will also be considered. We live in a quiet neighborhood with great back yard, comfortable house, and community parks in the area. Our kids are bright, animated, and kind boys who adore those that take good care of them. Easy to feed! Love to Read. Limited TV and computer. Given the immediate start date, we are only considering caregivers already in the Vancouver area at this time.
