Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for someone responsible and reliable to take over when we are both gone and someone fun and energetic to play with the boys during the day. We practice positive discipline with our children (kind but firm) and do not belive in hitting, shouting at or belittling our children. We would love someone who is willing to drive the kids to school, etc and cook and clean when we are not around to do it. A love of animals would be great, since we have cats and a large dog (all friendly)! Due to an on-call schedule, hours would be variable, so flexibility is a must! Spring/Summer hours would be mainly 7-4. Our nanny MUST be able to swim! We spend a lot of time at the beach and boating.

Hello! My name is Emilia and I am the 28 year old mom to three boys, ages 5 1/2, 3 and 7 months! I am a midwifery student and will be starting my clinical placement (like my apprenticeship, which means working full-time with another midwife) in the spring of 2010. So we need some help with our boys! We are looking for someone responsible and reliable to take over when we are both gone and someone fun and energetic to play with the boys during the day. Our nanny would have access to a car at all times. We live on a moderate income and live a comfortable, but by no means lavish lifestyle. We have secured a student loan to pay our nanny while I am in school. It is important to know that we can meet the salary expectations of our nanny, so any mutually interested nannies should post their expected salary. We plan to pick a nanny in January, so we will purchase a membership and start contacting mutually interested nannies in Dec.
