| Hello families! If you are looking for a responsible Nanny with years of childcare and teaching experience, please read on!
About Me: I'm a 25 year old college grad with a background in the performing arts and arts administration. I have been working as an admin assistant for three years and am ready for a change. The happiest I have ever been at work was when I was nannying, teaching and working with kids. So I'm ready to quit my day job and go back to doing what I love. I also am active in volunteering around my community, and have a very sweet cat named Minx :) I speak some Spanish, and English fluently. I'm originally from Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Experience with Children: I have around three years nannying and babysitting for some families in SF and Berkeley. I have also taught theatre, dance, and music classes to children from ages 1-16 at Habitot Children's Museum in Berkeley, Berkeley Rep School of Theatre in Berkeley, and Nashoba Summer Camp in Maine.
My Philosophy: I love taking care of children because they bring joy into my life. My experience in the performing arts has a big influence on the way I am with kids. I love to be silly, have fun, sing songs and make up stories with them. I also know how to reinforce good behavior and am comfortable disciplining as well. I understand the importance of being in constant communication with parents and making sure I'm on the same page with them about how to best care for their children.
My Situation: I currently live in the Mission District in San Francisco, and would prefer a live out situation. I would possibly consider in if it included a sufficiently private space and I could bring my cat with me. For live out, I'd be looking for part time or full time, and around $16-20 an hour. My start date can be flexible, with at least two weeks notice to my current employer. I don't have a car, but I do have a license. I'd be open to working outside of SF only if it was a reasonable commute on BART.
Thanks for reading, and good luck with your search!
