Au Pair/Nanny job description

Family in Bermuda are looking for a kind and cheerful live-in Nanny/Housekeeper. Two wonderful children (Boy 9, Girl 7) are in school, and you will be required to drive them back and forth as well as to other activities. During school holidays you will be taking them to fun places like the beach, so a strong swimmer is necessary. When the children are in school, you will have several hours off in the daytime, so this is an ideal job for someone who would like to do some outdoor sports in a sunny tropical location. Your room is in our home. It's bright and cheery, airconditioned, with cable tv and a phone. I'm easy-going, but I expect you to be flexible too. There is some babysitting required, and I have to count on you for most of the housework. The $350 US per week salary is net - your live-in expenses, groceries, health insurance, taxes, etc are all paid by me. You will have two weeks paid vacation. We will pay to get you a work visa for Bermuda.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We're a busy family and have lots going on. We all do one sport or another (we're not athletic - just keen!), we do a lot of boating in the summer, travel a few times a year, and never have trouble filling our weekends, even when it's not great weather. Our current nanny is wonderful. She has a degree in Education and has tutored my son who was struggling in school, does fun craft projects with my daughter, she's flexible with babysitting, is very kind and sensible, and makes smart decisions in times of emergency. She did volunteer work which I feel helped her fit in and find friends, she doesn't smoke, rarely drinks, and I feel has been a great role model for the kids. She has been with us for a year, and has planned to start a teaching job next year. We will be sorry to see her go. So there are some big shoes to fill! We would really like someone fun, but please - no party people! One thing we really don't want someone who parties every night and expects to be able to work the next day.
