| Dear Families -
I don't know how to start this, so I'll just explain myself! :D I'm an American girl who just moved from Pittsburgh, Pa to San Francisco. I decided that it was time for a change and have taken a break from school. Before starting college, I finished a 12 month aupair experience in Germany working and living with a wonderful German family in Bavaria with TWIN BOYS! I'm currently nannying for a family with 3 boys [ages 3, 6 and 9] It is temporary and so I am looking for work! Moving and traveling are fine by me, as well. I'd love to start learning another language!
I graduated from highschool in June 2006 with high honors, working my last year of highschool mostly in Art and English. Throughout highschool I played volleyball, ran track, swam, and skiied. Skiing and swimming are my two favourite sports and big parts of my life. I plan to one day be a photographer, and would like to attend art school. I've completed one year as a photography major but at a liberal arts school and don't feel like that's where I should get my degree.
That and my deep love for children. I have 3 younger siblings, me being the eldest of 4 children. [ages 18(boy)12(girl)11(girl)] I started babysitting when I was about 12 years old for a family with 5 children, one of whom was disabled. I have since worked as a lifeguard and a counselor at a Girl Scout camp for 3 years for girls ages 5-18, and as a children's ski instructor for 2 years for boys and girls ages 2-10. I have experience working with mental retardation, autisim, and other disabilities. I love everything about children and it's easy to see that from the way I interact around them, even when I'm in public.
I am looking for a family would would like an English speaking au pair to help care for their children/home and accept me as a temporary part of their family. I would love to see more of the world, and am looking for any sort of change. I'm easygoing, a team player, and a fun person! I love to travel, go out, make friends, make art, be silly, participate in sports, have lots of fun and be myself! Any family who seems to mirror what I am would be a perfect place for me to work/live.
Some activities I like to do with children: - Storytelling, reading books/poetry - Dancing/Singing - Yoga - Swimming - Taking walks and learning about plants/animals - Building forts - Dress Up - Playground! - Painting - Photography - Claybuilding - Collaging / Arts in General - Making healthy snacks - Picnics - Going to Museums
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who's interested! |
