Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are a family of two living in an idyllic spot on the Sunshine Coast. Our home is like a resort, very peaceful too. I am a professional mother that works from home with a six year old son who attends school only 8 minutes away. We travel a lot. Gabriel has lots of after school activities such as swimming, karate, dance and drama. Our current nanny/au pair picks him up from school 3 days a week. When they get home they have some play time. I then do homework with him while she prepares dinner for the 3 of us before either I or she takes him to the activity. We would love someone to join our happy family. Gabriel is very independent and takes care of himself very well but really enjoys the company on the days we have our au pair. Your role will become more defined once you are here and we add your desires and skills to the mix. The hours are negotiable and can be more or less depending on your other plans and commitments.

If you have a bright personality and could imagine working in a magical environmet on the sunshine coast then this just might be for you. Gabriel is a bright child with an inquisitive mind and lots of fun to be with. He has travelled extensively in his short life taking countries as varied as United Kingdom, USA, Egypt, Thailand, South Africa to mention a few and is very aware and sensitive to what is going on around him. This with a good imagination means we spend a lot of time laughing in our house. We want someone who sees the glass as half full rather than half empty to join our world. There is lots of play time in your hours as I do the homework side of things with him. A knowledge of how to integrate some of the learning into play would be really helpful. We have fabulous grounds to explore and go on adventures in. Look forward to hearing from you. It is important that you have your own transport as there is no public transport per se where we are.
