Nanny's Message to Families

I truly enjoy working with children. I absolutely love watching children learn and grow, and I have a lot of experience doing so. Currently, I work as a nanny for twin boys who are now 2 1/2. I have been with my current family for a year and I have loved working with them. They have a baby on the way and the Mom intends to stay home with the children after that, so I am looking for a new family to become a part of and work for. Prior to working as a nanny, I was a lead teacher at a daycare. I have experience writing lesson plans and coming up with age appropriate activities for children. I have also worked in an orphanage in Haiti on a missions trip, babysat many different families with different dynamics (including a child with down's syndrome), and I worked at a camp for inner city youth for over two years as a counselor, arts and crafts instructor, and health experience working with children of all ages. I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR as well as first aid, responding to emergencies, and bloodborne pathogens. I am flexible, outgoing, loving, reliable, and very organized. I truly enjoy working with people. I have a lot of experience working with parents and their children in order to give the children the best possible care. That is very important to me. I also enjoy doing housework, so things of that nature would not be a problem for me:) I would love to work for a family that I could build a relationship with, not just work for.
