| Dear Family,
I have two boys, ages 13 and 9. I love being a mom! Before I had children, I was a second grade school teacher. Both my children are in school during the day. I love kids and always have fun with them. I am energetic, loving, trustworthy, and dependable. I know how hard it is to leave your children with someone else, so I will do my best to give your child the love, kindness, and attention he or she deserves. As a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, I always interacted with my children. We did arts and crafts, sang songs, did "finger play" i. e. itsy bitsy spider, played ball, went for nature walks; everything was a learning experience. I constantly talked to my children, because that is how they learn. I would show them letters, abc's, and we counted. The teacher in me wouldn't let them sit in front of a TV and do nothing!! I also held my children quite a lot and gave them tons of attention. I don't consider it "spoiling" a baby, but nurturing. As toddlers and preschoolers (as well as now), I was very consistent on following the rules and doing what I say. I feel that praise and encouragement help a child to be good and make the right choices. Positive reinforcement is what I believe in. |
