Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, my name is Barbora, but everybody calls me Baru. I'm 25 years old and I'm from Czech Republic. I studied chemistry on a university, then I found out that it is not the right thing I want to do in my life. Next step as a necessity of taking care about myself got me to the work. I worked as a shop assistant in a sweet and fragrant pralines shop. Enough of that I want more, now it is time to do next step and change direction. I've decided to improve my English which is the best to do in English speaking country. I'm ready to meet new people, their culture and get to know their country, history, habits. I'm flexible, tolerant and trustworthy. I like book reading, going to theatre or watching good films. I love music – modern or classical. I can play the piano, and the guitar a little. I like singing as well. We can play and sing together with your children. I like sightseeing but also I like hiking in mountains, roller skating, swimming and other sports. I often spend time with my friends. I have never been an au pair before, despite it, I have got an experience in taking care of children. I have 2 sisters and both have their own families. The oldest sister has 2 children – a boy (7 years) and a girl (12 years). The other sister has a boy (2 years). Hiking, swimming during the summer or skiing and walking in the winter are our popular activities. Whenever they need I come and help with their children. I'm ready to help you with your children, to play with and take care of them. I also do not mind any light home work – cleaning, washing the dishes, vacuum cleaning, ironing… I would like to meet a family with sense of humour and with a patience. Although my English is not perfect now (my sister help me with this letter), I believe we will understand each other and with coming time the language and our friendship will be better and better.
