Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are an American/Swedish family and live in the Stockholm suburbs. We both work and are looking for a responsible, friendly, high-energy and open-minded au pair to help take care of our 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter. We would like someone who enjoys children, communicates well, is independent, warm, friendly, hardworking and takes iniative. The kids will both be in school during the day but we need help leaving them and picking them up and taking them to various activities. We would also like you to help me with some housework (e.g. emptying the dishwasher, putting away toys, laundry, grocery) and also prepare meals and run errands. You must be able to drive well and be comfortable in dark, snowy conditions. We travel so you must also be able to travel to the US without requiring a visa, we are only interested in female applicants from certain EU countries. We are only interested in au pair candidates who are at least 19 years old.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au Pair If you enjoy children, are curious about Sweden and want to improve both your Swedish and English, we are the family for you. We live close to the center of Stockholm in a large house with a pretty garden. Our house is conveniently located, we are right next to the center of our small town and you can easily get to the center of Stockholm within 20 minutes. We offer a separate bedroom in our house with your bathroom, TV, etc. We are a family who has had many babysitters, nannies and au pairs and it has worked out very well for everyone. We have had the great luck to have extraordinary au pairs and hope that you will be the next wonderful addition to the family. Please note that this job is ON THE BOOKS, we will pay your social security taxes as well as ours, you will receive about 4500 SEK per month as your net pay. You will be eligible to receive a Swedish personal number and therefore receive free Swedish classes, health insurance etc. Our au pairs really appreciates that she is 'legitimate', has her own bank account etc. Our children are in one word, fantastic.
