I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I speak fluent English, Spanish, and I'm learning French. I recently moved back to the USA from living in Europe for 7 years. I have over 10 years experience either babysitting, working in the public school system in Miami, and/or volunteering at a children's hospital in Miami. I have a degree from Lynn University in Early Childhood Education. I graduated with honors in 2004. I'm used to taking care of children from new born until 15 years old. Both males and females. I'm used to assisting the children with picking up toys, books, etc. I can go with the parent(s) and the children on errands. I can't though take the children anywhere driving and/or picking them up anywhere either. I can assist the parent(s) with the meals (as long as they are simple meals.) I can assist the parent(s) with organizing special events (such as birthday parties, etc.) I love to bake. Weather it's cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, tarts, etc. I'm an animal lover. I have a 1 year old rescue dog named Zarah. She's a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and Bull Terrier. I'm a big fan of music. I'll listen to just about anything. I'm also a big movie and theater buff. I come from a very tall family. My mom is 5'8, my dad is 5'10, my brother is 6'3, his wife is 5'8, and I'm 6'1. My brother and his wife have 3 kids. Their ages are 15, 13, and 10. I'm considered to be someone that's realistic, sweet, down to earth, silly, funny, loving, passionate, compassionate, fun, easy to get along with, someone that doesn't get upset easily, creative, etc. Ethnicity, race, skin color, religion, and socio-economic levels doesn't matter to me. I love the holidays. Especially Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. I´m used to seeing the house rules/regulations posted with emergency numbers so I know what is expected of the kids and of myself. I´m used to houses that can have specified areas for the kids to entertain themselves in (play rooms.) I´m used to homes that have fully stocked kitchens with food/snaks for the kids and I to have if we get hungry.
I´m used to haing the parents leave a list of any/all food (and related) allergies so that if the kids get hungy I know what I can/can´t give them. I´m not used to doing any major cleaning or cooking. Cooking has to be very simple meals and light clean up. I´m used to 2 kids. I´m used to small to medium sized dogs and cats/kittens. I can usually take care of kids in the weekend as long as I get advanced notice (at least a week in advance so that I don´t make plans to go out on the weekends.) I do have allergies to shrimp and similar seafood. I´m only avalible at night (after 6:00 p.m) since I work at a school during the day and go to the gym right after work.
