Buon giorno! I will be moving to Italy in July and would love to begin working as an au pair with a family. I am not yet fluent in Italian but have taken two classes at University and am working hard to immerse myself in your beautiful language. I am articulate and love to write. I would be happy to work with your children to teach them English, and hopefully will soon become fluent in Italian, as well.

I adore children. Albert Einstein said once, "IMAGINATION is greater than knowledge," and though I hold intellect at high regards, I believe that the creative, limitless mind of a child is what makes them so magnificent. I began babysitting at age twelve, and since then have developed my own au pair business (here in Los Angeles) where I have grown close, and often a significant part of the lives of several great families.

After spending countless hours with the children, running errands, and cleaning, I began to organize meals, go grocery shopping, and cook. Another thing you should know about me is that I LOVE to cook! I attended culinary arts school before transferring to UCLA and have been able to share my passion with the families I work for by also becoming their personal chef. I have found that most clients really enjoy coming home to a clean house with dinner on the table. One of my clients was a single mother who always told me how spectacular it was to come home after a long day and not have to worry about dirty dishes; it allowed her to spend more quality, relaxing time with her 3 year old daughter.

I have a very creative, nurturing spirit. I am enthralled by the study of different cultures, art, writing, music, reading and nature. I graduate UCLA in June 2012 with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. I am open to new things and enjoy both learning and teaching. With families I have worked for in the past, I have often arranged activities (both on site and off site) to help enrich the lives of those I am caring for.

Upon request, I can email a resume with descriptions of my positions as a nanny/au pair, personal chef, and other work in the field (such as volunteer work). I would be happy to also send a list of references from the families I have worked with.
