Dear Potential Family,
I am looking for a new full time, live in position with location being relatively flexible. I have been a live in nanny in different parts of the country and I've really enjoyed the experience of kind of traveling without vacationing. I am searching for the right family to be my long term placement, despite my recent relatively short placements.

I come as a package deal with a seven year old Shiba Inu, Keke, who is kinda weird but mostly sleeps a lot. She takes time to warm up to other dogs as she tries to be the boss but she has successfully been placed below cats in the hierarchy of power.

A little bit about my nannying style: I’m relatively laid back and I tend to under-react. I like letting kids take the lead and make their own choices, but I also maintain that listening to me is non-negotiable and my word is generally the final word. I believe in consequences, and sticking with them even when it’s not convenient, because I want to help guide children into functional humans. While I believe screen-time has value, I also believe its time and place should be somewhat limited and that it exists as an experience/activity not as a pacifying babysitter. I prefer taking regular outings to interactive places like the park or children’s museum and exploring the world and meeting new people.

A little bit on my child care experiences: I have significant experience with multiples and large families. I have worked extensively with mood/behavior disorders and learning disorders. I have previously done work in a day care, done administration and programming for a K-12 afterschool program, taught Sunday School for all ages including taking trips with jr high kids.

Last bits about myself: I am evenly balanced between introvert and extrovert but I generally prefer to stay home and binge watch TV or read because I genuinely like hanging out with my dog. I love pineapples which most kids seem to think is hilarious. My favorite chore is laundry and my least favorite is scrubbing the bathroom.
