We are a very caring and loving family, and we are looking for an au pair/carer to feel comfortable in our house. Our previous au pair lived with us for 5 years as she felt that we had became her second family. I am looking for nurse/carer to live in with myself, my mum, dad and younger sister to help with my physical disability. I am 30 years old and use an electric wheelchair as I am not able to walk or move. I have to be lifted when using the toilet or transferring onto the bed. All my carers have done this for me previously, and I only weigh 40 kilos so I’m quite small. I have a toilet in my bedroom and it is very close. I am only physically disabled and I’m studying at university for my doctorate. I need an nurse/carer who can work full-time because of my physical disability and situation, and also sometimes I become very sick and need more help. I need the nurse/Carer to be very flexible and patient with their working time as some days might change and they have to work more, with then more time off in the week. I am looking for the carer to work on a full time basis, spread over 6 days a week (day off negotiable).

Duties include helping:

• Either my mum or another carer to wake me up from bed in the morning and to put to sleep at night
• With toileting, bathing and all personal/medical care
• Going out shopping, to the cinema, restaurants and on holidays with me
• Light housework around the house

The candidate must be willing to learn basic medical skills, at least 5.5ft (165cm) in height for lifting purposes, aged between 22-35, fluent in English both written and verbal and be willing to commit themselves to a minimum of one year to this position.

The nurse/carer will have their own bedroom and bathroom in a separate building. I am looking for someone who is comfortable and wants to be like family. I need someone happy, patient and reliable.
