We are a very busy family of six who require an extra set of hands to help us out.
We have four children, Kane (13), Zara (11), Daxton (8) and Petra (7). They are all school aged and very active. After school most days there are activities such as swimming, rugby, gymnastics, piano lessons, martial arts, etc. Some of these activities are in our home and some are at a different venue. We have a cat and two dogs who are also part of our family.
My husband and I both work in our own businesses in the property industry. We also have a full-time Household Manager (who you will report to) and a cleaner meaning that you are only responsible for the children and their spaces as everything else is taken care of. There may also be the odd overnight, weekend and evening childcare requirement too.
As a family we like to eat out at restaurants, spend time at the beach, go for walks, travel, watch movies and play outside together. We take regular trips to Fiji and to the South Island as well as other international trips throughout the year which sometimes we would ask you to accompany us on.
We would like an au pair who is very active and social. We have set work our hours for our au pair but can be flexible within that and would like someone who is flexible with their hours too. We have had au pairs since Kane was three years old so this au pair will be our ninth.

We are looking for an honest, reliable and committed person to join our busy household and help us out with our four school aged children.  You will be joining a team of three house staff including a Household Manager and a Cleaner. You will generally be working Monday to Friday from 2.30pmpm - 7.00pm with the mornings and weekends off! :)  During the school holidays, you will work from 12.00pm - 6.00pm.
The children are at school during the day so your hours are spent helping out after school.
Responsibilities will include:
* Playing with the children and keeping them entertained.
* Overseeing things such as meal times, showering and homework.
* Running children to activities outside of the house.
* Helping keep the children's bedrooms tidy and organised.
* Helping with the children's washing including their bedding.
* Babysitting when we have work events or are going out for an evening.
* Running errands for the family and working with the rest of the household staff to keep things going.
* Occasional overnight stays, weekend work, evenings and/or morning school routine. This is only if we are away and with plenty of notice.
 
To be successful in getting this role, you will need to have a clean, full drivers license and not have any other commitments during daytime hours.
Experience is a bonus but a willing, can do attitude is most important.
We will pay for your trip to NZ, a competitive weekly allowance, a SIM card for your phone and you will be provided with a car for work and personal use.
