Living in fontainbleau is great , we have moved from paris 9 years ago, its a very international town, full of sport and cultural opportunites and just a train ride to paris.
a lovely group of au pairs generally is formed here with good french classes and a good social life
Our kids andreas, 15 , laurene 13 and alois 10 years are full of life, happy souls, determined and full of character, but they need to be channeled too !
All three go to a public school with an anglosaxone section that follows the cambridge curriculam
so that means lots more homework and tutoring to do on a daily basis ( spellings, reading )
we both work in the child health sector,open minded , and happy to make you discover the pleasures ( and challenges !) of a big family
we enjoy discovering nature around us, the forest, bouldring , yoga, trips to paris, cultural life, and sharing new experiences.
we need you to be dynamic, reliable, tidy,
patient, capable of putting limits down, and being respected , and enthousiastic. we think this is a challenge worth taking up on both ends !we learn so much about others and about ourselves and its a truly growing experience for all.

here we are yet again ! because we love having an au pair with us
we have for the past 9 years and its always been a fantastic experience for everyone ( we are so lucky )
our present au pair amanda, who has stayed on for a 2 nd year can tell you all about us , so can our former au paris across the world who are still part of our family !

we have 3 kids who are growing fast
andreas is almost 15 and is getting on with his teens
he is very independant

laurene is 13 and is very close to our au pairs feeling complicity with a " big sister"
she is also very independant but likes to spend time talking and doing the girly stuff ( make up, etc )
alois is ou last one and will turn ten in september
he needs most of your time, for help in his english homework, reading , and playing

these kids are strong minded, determinded,fun and engaging in their relationships .
we are proud of the little people they are and
sure it can be challenging, but its a great experience, and we would love to do this journey with you !
we need you to speak english a lot but will be willing to speak french to you when the kids are in bed !

here is the outline

otherwise your job will consist in :

1 getting up at 7. 15 , preparing the breakfast table, and taking alois to school in the morning - at 8 am . a 5 minute walk away, some days with SUNNY, our magnificant 3 year old golden retreiver. a 50 min walk in the forest down the road, or the castle park also down the road !

on return, a swift effeciant wipe of the kithcen surfaces and breakfast table followed by tidying alois room ( bed, airing out )
after sunny's walk and light house work the day is yours until 16.00 which is time for sunny's walk again and fetching alois at school at 5 pm
back home its homework time, shower and play , and light preparation towards a meal or two in the week.

on Wednesdays I need your presence from 9 . 30 to 2pm -
in France it is a day where children dont go to primary school but do extra curricular activitee ; alois does guitar and tennis this year .
these activites are close to home by foot or bike.
laurene and andreas are independant and can move around alone.
to sum it up :
overall we need an au pair helping hand in managing the everyday life with young children - sometimes preparing a quick simple meal, or more elaborate if you wish !, an extra adult in the house to help the good organsiation of this family enterprise !
on Saturday mornings id like you to be present for three hours , 9 to 12 but of course u can go away for week ends sometimes.
we are a very understanding , flexible, family with a great heart, but we need a serious, mature, and balanced au pair.
hopefully you have maybe travelled a litlle already, lived alone maybe, and have some experience with young children, either babysitting or with your siblings.
we are ok to meet up before you sign in over a week end or more !
