Introduction
Dear host family,
My name is Jestine Lhe , I am 28 years of age, Filipina. I have experienced being an Au pair in Denmark last 2016-2018. I am now currently an Au pair here in Norway.
I am a graduate with degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and working as an Au pair is not a problem for me, in fact this could be a good opportunity to broaden my knowledge and skills when it comes to hospitality industry. I have experienced to work in different establishments in line with my career. I have experienced working as a part time waitress in the hotel at the Philippines.
My au pair contract will end on March 2020, however, I would like to start on May or June of 2020. My Host parents have three children. The eldest is 5 years old boy next is 3 years old girl and the youngest is 1 year old boy. They are an easy-going family. I am very fortunate to be part of them and I learned a lot from them. Little by little they taught me how to get along and be independent in a foreign country like Norway. I have a great experience being an Au pair, the people are friendly and hospitable not to mention the place is easy and safe to explore. My Host Mom and Dad set a daily schedule that I could follow. With that, I can easily do my chores better. Every Tuesday until Thursday I cook for them and sometimes most of the weekdays because my host mom likes to order a grocery online. It consists all the ingredients and procedures needed for the dishes. I also pick up the kids from school if my host parents are busy and baby sit at night as well.
With these experiences, I can say that I am more comfortable being in a foreign land and Netherlands is one of the places I want to go. Aside from the fact the Netherlands has a beautiful and picturesque views, people are nice and the food is fantastic. I've learned that the country has one of the best culture that respects humanity and equality, and this is what I am looking forward to. There's a lot of reasons to love the place and I can't wait to be a part of it.
