I am a very fun, loving person—definitely a people pleaser. I grew up with 2 brothers, one older and one younger, so that taught me humility and how to love always, even when I didn’t think they deserved it! I have a large family that I am very close with and would do anything for. I am a Christian and I hold myself up to high standards and I believe I have very good morals as well. I am very responsible, very organized, and I take my job very seriously.

Growing up with young cousins and neighbors, I developed a love for children early on. I believe that love is the best teaching method, because children learn by example. If I show them love and respect, they learn from that and reciprocate. I want them to feel comfortable with me and most importantly to have fun with me. I will respect the rules you have both for them and myself, and will discipline them if need be. I love babysitting and nannying primarily because it gives me an excuse to be a kid again. Kids have it good—playing games, laughing, learning—and as much as I can provoke this and be a part of it, I will.

I graduated from California Polytechnic State University in June 2010 with a degree in Agricultural Business, concentrating in International Management. I love to travel and desire to see the world. This passion led me to spend a year as an au pair in Paris, France. I was blessed with such a wonderful family to be a part of and am looking for another exciting adventure with another amazing family. I have also previously lived in Spain for 3 months doing a Spanish language program, so I have a generous knowledge of both the Spanish and French languages. When I returned back to the US in December 2011, I immediately began working as a sales rep for a distribution company. While this job offers many opportunities for the future, I have realized I am just not done living and traveling abroad. I am looking for a family that will accept me as one of their own, and completely immerse me in the Swedish culture, cuisine, and way of life. This California girl may also need to borrow a warm winter parka for your chilly Swedish winters!
